She is not currently recording, but is planning her own television show. It will be on Oprah Winfrey's network in early 2011. Rumour has it that she also said a new CD would be on its way, but it is not close to being finished yet.

I heard that she will do another recording but I have no idea when. Maybe she is busy writing new music or doing any business not related to music.

While there are consistent rumors that a new Shania Twain CD is on the way, so far it seems that the record is only in the writing stages.

She has not done anything in a long time, but that does not mean she has something coming up the pipeline soon. She has done some collaborations lately, and is still touring, and promoting her work. She is also spending time currently writing new music, and is guesting on shows such as American Idol as a mentor.

Shania herself has claimed that she will still be recording, but still nothing of the star. She hasn't announced that she is on hiatus, so yes, she is recording.
