The appropriate answer to this question can be provided only when one knows the actual age of the puppy.Though one might tend to call one's dog a puppy due to affection,it is biologically impossible for an young puppy to be pregnant. Its activities in the past few weeks, the neighbourhood must ne considered.

If your puppy has had a heat cycle and has also been exposed to male dogs, then it is possible. Pregnancy in a puppy under one year of age is a danger to her health. If she survives it, the resulting litter may all die of neglect by the mom. Take her to the vet for evaluation and advice.

Check the dog's age. Females don't reach maturity until at least 4 months. Key signs of a pregnancy are weight gain, development of the mammory glands where her belly will bulge and the nipples become more prominent, and nesting behaviors. The best way to be 100% sure is to see a vet.

My family always had animals as pets. Our veterinarian would say, "Bring the dog (or cat) back at six months and I will spay (or neuter) him/her". Well, by the time some of the animals weres six months, they were already a parent. The pregnancy had occurred even earlier which would mean they were puppies themselves (puppies having puppies).
