Depending on weight and age the adult lab should eat anywhere between 6-8 cups a day. This is with 3 feedings of 2 cups each. If you are worried about too much protein try dog food with lower protein percentage. A good brand is the Wellness Core they have a great line and fair price.

It depends how many times a day your dog is eating. The Lab only needs to eat approximately three times a day, on food cans it gives guidelines of how many grams to serve. Careful as to how many treats your giving them too.
