Is it tacky to put a picture on a headstone?

Though it is not common, it is not tacky to put a picture on a headstone. If it gives you comfort to see his picture when you visit, you should go ahead and do it. You should not let other people influence your choice because if you are pleased with the end result, that's all that matters.

I would ask this question in stead: Why care if it is tacky or not? You are the greiving one and we all greive in our own way. If placing a picture of your loved-one on thier headstone gives you comfort when you visit I would not let anything stop you from doing it.
