Is it safe to put bakers yeast in septic tanks?

I accidentally poured bakers yeast down the pipes.

Yes it is safe to put bakers yeast in Septic tanks. Septic tanks rely on Germs to breakdown solid matter in them. Adding yeast promotes this Germ action.

no. as everyone knows yeast swells up. So if you was to put yeast in an septic tank that has been holdin waste for so many years.......

Depends on how much you poured in. The yeast can grow in a septic system and can prove harmful for the tank if too much gas is produced which can lead to an awful mess.
