Even the smallest surgery can cause risk to your fetus while pregnant. If it is absolutely necessary and your dentist will let you know, the best time to have any dental work done would be your second trimester. An apicoectomy requires general anesthesia which can cause great harm to a fetus, therefore, consult your doctor before undergoing such a procedure.

No - you don't want to undergo any procedure requiring general anesthesia while pregnant. There are extreme risks to the fetus when you undergo general anesthesia - it should be avoided at all costs. However, consult your doctor for further information - they will know more about the risks and alternatives.

Under normal circumstances an apicoectomy is performed using a local anaesthetic which is perfectly safe, however anything involving the teeth should be performed during the first trimester of pregnancy. With modern medicine, there is little direct affect on the baby at that point.

I'm pretty sure it is not safe to have any kind of health treatment or diagnosis. It can hurt the baby.

If dental work is done during pregnancy, the second trimester is often considered the best time and you should definitely visit the dentist to avoid any infections of any kind because your gums swell and bleed during pregnancy, making them prone to infections.

Even the smallest surgery while you are pregnant can put you fetus at risk. Most doctors will tell you to do a surgery if it is absolutely necessary. They are trying to avoid stress on the baby. They also do not like using medicine to make you sleep because it goes straight to the baby.

You should always consult your doctor before doing anything like a surgery. In most cases it should be fairly safe because the surgeons and doctors take extra precautions in order to keep both you and the baby safe.
