Text messages, like all mobile phone signals, are encrypted. Even if you were able to "sniff" the wireless signal out of the air and sort it out from the rest of the wireless traffic, you'd have no way of actually reading the text message. A "cloned" phone may receive a text message instead of the original phone, however.

It is possible to intercept text messages. However, you need to keep in mind that doing so is very illegal. If you wish to do ahead and do it, you will need to use a method called "phone cloning. "

It's Impossible. or nearly impossible. SIM cards are devices that are specifically designed to all the information that comes out and comes in of the cell phone using it is encoded. If using a CDMA phone or TDMA phone, you may do it.

well if your sending them from your own phone then yes it might be possible through some software to keep a track of all the activities on your phone but if it is not your phone and you want to intercept someone else's messages then i believe that is illegal and not possible.

Yes it is, but it is illegal. There are different ways to do it, and of course as technology progresses, people have to change how they do it. However, if you can copy the SIM card that every cell phone has, you basically own that phone. Again, this is very illegal!

Install a special firmware on your mobile phone. The firmware will turn the cell into a radio that will capture all(insecure) messages that are transmitted over a certain channel that time.

Yes, you can clone the phone of your victim. You will need a sim card reader (cloner) which you can buy off ebay. After cloning you'll need to copy the sim information on a new sim. Put the sim in your phone and it will receive messages of your victim.
