Depends on the type of phone. Some of them have a trash can where you can retrieve deleted texts, others do not. Option b is to see if the phone company will provide you with a list, but only if he is using your phone.

No sorry, there is no possible way to recover those messages, if he is deleting the messages and doesn't want you to read them then that is a huge red flag. You cannot retrieve old messages that have been deleted, I wish I could help you. Not even your cell phone provider can retrieve them.

Sometime you can get a record of text by contacting you service provider. Otherwise you could try a special sim card reader to recover messages.

I believe there is no way to recover text message if it's been deleted. Try to find other ways to found out if your boyfriend is cheating. Check his cell's address book

Once a text message is deleted, there is not much you can do about it to recover it. The only way would be to check the other person's phone and see if they still have the message saved.

After you have deleted a text message, it is deleted. That is to your phone it no longer exists. It may be on the senders phone if not deleted there.
