You can apply online for HUD low income housing, HUD Section 8 program and for homes acquired by HUD due to foreclosures on FHA loans.

Unfortunately, to receive HUD assistance one must go in person to a local Housing Authority office to apply. However, there are many materials available online to help expidite the process once you arrive. Many agencies offer their applications and qualification criteria online.
