You will have to weigh the consequences if things do not work out between you and your coworker. Will there be tension at your job if you break up later? Will this cause problems where you may have to find a new job? It is a risk / reward evaluation.

Most of the time office romances don't work out. If things don't go right, you still have to work with the person, and that could cause problems.

Office Romances are something that is very complicated. They usually don't work out. If you can keep your work lives and romantic lives separate then it could work out.
