Children should not really take protein powder there should be sufficient protein in the child`s normal diet. Children should not need to take any supplements at all if they are eating normally. Milk is a good source of protein and flavored milk shakes can be added.

It would depend entirely on why they are taking it. In my opinion, it is neither necessary nor desirable for a normal, healthy kid, with access to a balanced diet, to be taking food supplements. However, if they had a particular health issue, or diet deficient in protein, it might be appropriate, with medical advice.

If it is a safe, basic and good tasting protein powder there should be no issues. Any extra protein and any age should never be harmful. Protein powders such as Spiru-Tein and others actually serve as a good breakfast substitute for kids when they are up early or don't want a big breakfast.

The protein powder may not be healthy for all the kids... so , the suggestion is not to use protein powder... In protein powder now a days many adulterant and many chemicals which is not natural is being added... many kids get affected because of this powder... Indigestion , diarrhea are some of the problems caused to the kids.....
