Is it normal to have headaches, drowsiness and numbness in the second trimester of pregnancy?

I thought that drowsiness and numbness went away after the first trimester.

It is normal to be drowsy because your body is working on making that baby grow. Headaches may be a result of dehydration or your blood sugar levels are low. Be sure to drink plenty of water during pregnancy. You should not feel numbness, it would be wise to consult your doctor about those feelings.

While there is an extreme amount of stress on a pregnant woman's body during the creation of the placenta in the first trimester, pregnancy overall is a stressor and symptoms should be expected throughout the pregnancy.

Ask your doctor about the the numbness because that's not totally normal. The drowsiness and the headaches may still remain, it depends on the person.

The drowsiness sometimes goes away during the second trimester; however, everyone will tell you that every pregnancy is different. You are carrying a baby, so get your rest! For the headaches and numbness, they may just be beginning and continue to get worse as the baby grows.
