Veterinarian school is the most competitive of the professional degrees. There are fewer veterinarian schools and more applicants than for medical school even. The competition is fierce, the program is grueling and demanding, especially given that your patients cannot participate in their care.

I would suspect it would be relatively hard as it seems to me it takes 7 years, depending on where you are located globally. As with a medical doctor, training is extensive.

It takes a long time to become a veterinarian and you have to take many sciences courses as well as attend a veterinary school.

A veterinarian is the equivalent of a doctor for animals. It is a minimum of 6 years of schooling plus residency. It is easier to get into the veterinarian school than medical school, but it is comparably priced to medical school. You need an A average in college to get in.

Vet school is four years plus internship following a four-year undergrad degree. An optional residency adds more. It is FAR MORE DIFFICULT to get into vet school than medical or dental school. There are fewer schools and more highly qualified candidates.  add a comment

It is a demanding field of study but the real difficulty is getting into vet school. There are too few of them and admission is hard to achieve. You must have gone to a good undergraduate school and have great boards. Good luck.
