Is it hard to apply a wall stencil?

Yes and No. It can be difficult to apply a wall stencil if you haven't ever tried stenciling before. My suggestion would be to do some practicing on scrap wood or even paper. As long as you are using a pencil you should be fine but you know what they say.."Practice makes Perfect!"

I have used wall stencils before and have found them to be relatively easy to use. To make sure you get them straight, you need to mark the top or bottom of the stencil. I recommend using a ruler and painters tape for this.

Use a level to block out the stencil area first. Use a level and a plumb. Using these techniques to apply a wall stencil will help keep it straight.

It is hard to put on if you don't have steady hands, so make light markings on the wall where it's level, then apply it right on the marks.
