Is it easier to get a mortgage if you are married?

It can be easier if you both have an income and that will go toward the payment. But it can be worse if the other person has large debts or bad credit rating. Don't get married just because you want to buy a house but check the credt and debts before you say I do.

Getting a good mortgage rate has more to do with your credit rating and your ability to pay back the loan, married or not.
