Is it difficult to grow bay leaves?

It's not difficult to grow your own bay leaves, but it can be a little slow. The bay is basically a tree. I have never known anyone grow one from seed, they are available in various sizes from garden centres. They dont like deep frost but are easy to grow with little care. The mature leaves can be dried.

It isn't difficult to grow, but it does take about 6 months for a small bay laurel tree to grow.
