Flushing is a neighborhood in the borough of Queens in New York. It is founded in 1645. The county is more diverse, in terms of ethnicity, of the United States. At the 2000, 46% of the residents were foreigners, with plans to exceed 50% in 2010. The county covers a total area of 461.7 km².
