Is baseboard heating better than using hot air vents?

I prefer electric baseboard heat to forced air. The advantage of baseboard heat is you can individualy control the tempurature in each room thus saving electricity. Another advantage of baseboard heat is that it is much safer than hot air vents. Hot air vents blow around dust and are more expensive to replace.

I would say that it is better because it will provide you with the heating with the least use in energy.

It depends on what yo mean by better. It's definitely a nice feeling to have the warm air circulating as it does with baseboard heating but, really, there isn't a huge difference. I went with the baseboard option only because I was able to get a better deal and I haven't looked back.

Compared to forced hot air, baseboard heating will eliminate many of the electricity costs that are needed to operate the blower units. The downside of using baseboard heating is that, it might take longer to heat your home. Baseboard heating requires the air itself to consume and distribute the heat that is generated by the flowing hot water.

Many people prefer hot air vents to baseboard heating because they believe the air is circulated better. Hot air vents allow the air to spread rapidly through a room , while baseboard heat can sometimes take longer to warm up. In addtion air vents can be placed to prevent blocking the heat , as it would be with baseboard.

It is purely a question of preference. The energy it takes to heat your home is the energy it takes to heat your home. Baseboard heating feels better to some because it doesn't dry out the air. Forced air heating with gas can cause low humidity and make the air feel dry.

yes it is allways i advice to use the base board heating because,If you make an addition to your home then you can put baseboard heating into those rooms so that people can make the rooms warm.
