Yes, if one doesn't want to pay the Monthly Plan fees. Plans without the annual contract fees still get Unlimited Talk, Text, and Messaging without breaking the bank or locking yourself in. They can pay a small monthly fee for a set number of minutes. For those want safety and convenience without a large monthly payment, use the prepaid.

It depends, sometimes prepaid deals are good and sometimes they are not. Usually, you get more minutes if you purchase a post paid plan. Also, prepaid services can have less benefits such as older phones vs. newer models.
