Nick Hornby is a British novelist who wrote "About A Boy." The movie was charming; the book is even better. Hornby also wrote "High Fidelity," "Slam," "How To Be Good," and "Fever Pitch." His books are a pleasure to read.

About a Boy was originally a book,but it was adapted into a film in 2002.However,the film has a different ending from the book even though the storyline in followed closely.

The 2002 film starring Hugh Grant and Nicholas Hoult as the two ' boys', is based on the 1998 book of the same name by the English author and essayist, Nick Hornby. This was his third novel. Two other film adaptions have been made of his books, 'Fever Pitch' starring Colin Firth, and 'High Fidelity' starring John Cusack.
