Ranitidine 150mg is used to treat heartburn. It used to be a prescription only medication but is now available over the counter, you do not need to obtain a prescription. It is sold under the brand name 'Zantac 150 maximum strength' An 8 tablet box will cost you approximately $5.00

No 150mg Ranitidine is now avaiable at most stores. I buy that strength usually at my local Wal-Mart on a regular basis. It is great because I take several medicines that cause stomach upset and it being otc is a lot cheaper that prescription.
