Iachimo is a character from one of Shakespeare's plays called "Cymbeline". He is a Roman soldier in the army who makes a bet with Posthumus that he can get his wife Imogen to commit adultry. He sneaks into her room at night and steals a bracelet as proof of her adultry and also describes the act to Posthumus.
