You must go to court in the jurisdiction where the property is located and file a motion for a hearing to get a judgment. You must be able to show evidence for the request (debt, unpaid work, violated contract, etc. ) Once the judgment is granted, you can request a lien.

You will have to go to a court. This property must be in the jurisdiction of that court. Here you will file a motion for the hearing of your case.

California property liens come in various sizes and textures. Filing them will require some experimenting with different file grits to find one that will produce the desired finish. Your local home improvement expert can save you a lot of time and money here. If possible bring him a sample of your lien material and follow his advice.
