The best advice is to practice as much as humanly possible. The more seat time you get the easier you will pass. Also make sure you have the appropriately sized bike. Start small and trade up to a bigger bike as your skills improve.

Go to the Department of Motor Vehicles and get the motorcycle booklet. Study that for two days and then go take the written test. For teh driving portion borrow a small cc bike or moped and take the driving test with that. The inspectors are sticklers when it comes to putting your foot down on the turns.
