If shortening/lengthening a small amount from the cuff end, match the turn width and stitch style with the factory stitching. If the sleeve is tapered, you will need to make your adjustments from the shoulder by removing the entire sleeve from the arms-eye, and this is not a project for a novice seamstress.

Sleeves can be shortened, taken in, removed or even lengthened. excess material is removed and the remaining material sewn into a different shape. Add lace etc. to lengthen.
