Not necessarily. Some dogs just like some green fiber to chew on. Although grass can help a dog's digestion, it's not necessary. Think of it like a cat's hairballs.

Not necessarily sick. When dogs have an upset stomach, they tend to eat grass. It tickles their throat and stomach, which causes them to throw up.
