It is perfectly safe for cats to eat grass, provided that they are kept away from poisonous plants. There are even commercial products available for indoor cats to provide the same benefits of natural grass. Cats eat grass to maintain proper digestive health and to help cough up hairballs.

Cats eat grass because it helps their digestion system. There is pet grass they sell in the stores or you can buy grass seeds and dirt on line and grow your own grass. Humans can eat this grass also and it is also good for the digestive system. I grow my own and is cheaper to grow then buy.

When my dog or cat eat grass that it's usually a sign that they need to vomit. Eating grass helps them to bring up something in their stomach

Chewing on grass is good for the digestive system of your cat. It won't hurt them at all. You can also purchase kitty grass at the pet store.
