If I'm getting child support, will I have bad credit?

Child support has nothing to do with your credit status. Your credit rating is determined by your record of borrowing and repaying on time. Child support and spousal support are not reported to the credit bureaus unless a judgment for non-payment is entered. You cannot be denied credit based on your marital status or status as a parent.

Child support does not affect your credit because it is based on the other parent's income and obligation to support and not your own.

Not unless you did something to make your credit bad like have credit card bills. Child support does seem to hinder how much state assistance you can get though.
