A disability check is based on your disability and your inability to work for a living. An inheritance will does not change those conditions. It may, however, affect other benefits like Medicaid, fuel assistance, and utility assistance that are based on low income / low net worth, since these benefits are only offered to those without the means to pay.

It depends upon what type of disability you get and the amount of the inheritance. SSI, for example, could be affected if it is more than a couple of thousand.
