I have an ear infection, and I hear a noise when moving my jaw. Are they related, or is this something else?

The two can be related. It could be something like TMJ, which has similar symptoms. Either way, it's always best to mention it to your doctor and have it checked out. They may want to recommend you to an ears, nose, and throat specialist who would be able to determine the correlation.

Yes they are. Moving the jaw causes the pharynx and Eustachian tube, which connects to the ear, to open up and cause a 'pop' noise in the ear.

Yes you may have a problem with your TMJ Joint in your Jaw. The symptoms of TMJ can be mistaken for an ear infection.. I would suggest you visit your dentist.

This is definitely what I have had with ear infections. Sometimes it is a popping noise as though something is rocking in and out of place.
