Rubber plants don't need a lot of leaf care to be happy. You can simply sponge the leaves clean with plain water, you don't need lemon juice. If you are concerned about keeping off insect infestations, you can use a dilute solution of water and dish soap.

Most houseplants appreciate being dusted or rinsed occasionally, but plain water will probably work as well as lemon juice or commercial leaf polishers.

Yes, The PH of the lemon juice will help kill certain parasites. never use cleaning sprays as these can damage the plant. Also, try and use a cloths as opposed to a paper towel.

You can wash the leaves with water or lemon juice. You do not necessarily have to use both. Many nursery's recommend you use whole milk and wipe with a soft flannel piece of cloth. One thing you never want to do is to use windex. This will kill your plant.
