I was spanked on a couple of occasions. But most of the time I was sent to my room when I would misbehave.

My parents would spank me if I was disobedient. They never spanked in anger and it never left lasting bruises. I never got a spanking that I did not know that I deserved. When I was older the spanking were no longer necessary and letting me know they were disappointed in me was my punishment.
