Make sure that the cat has a very gentle diet - probably the best thing to do would be to make your own cat food rather than buying it, or buying a sensitive stomach food. The cat will need a diet mostly made up of chicken or white fish.

Hills Science Diet Sensitive Stomach is a brand that a lot of veterinarians recommend. Another alternative is to prepare home cooked food such as chicken or fish. If you do this long term you will need to vitamin supplements to make sure they are getting the nutrition they need.

It's very possible that the cat has hairballs and will need a hairball remedy. Have your cat checked not only for regular worms but hookworms as well. Hookworms are difficult to diagnose. Signs of hookworms include blood in the stool and a sensitive stomach. Have your cat checked by the vet and use a diet for sensitive stomachs.

The best way to treat a cat with a sensitive stomach is to figure out what tends to bother the animal. Some foods have fillers that don't get digested well by cats; sometimes cats have food allergies just like humans. Is your cat getting into "human" food? If so, that might be the culprit.
