Depending on the year of the truck there are either slip on clips or half inch nut. If the nuts stuck try heating it and using bees wax.

Open the heater core section and hood then detach the heater hose, remove the screws, remove the clip holding the core. Replace the clip and the screws.

The best way to get the fitting off is to take a bernz-o-matic torch and heat it up and it should spin right out.
