It is generally just luck, but definitely hiring the right agent is key to becoming a famous singer. Also choosing a genre of music that is popular will help because you will have the change to sell more albums. And make sure that your voice is considered excellent by people other than your parents.

One needs to either know someone in the music business, get really lucky performing on Youtube like Justin Bieber, or make it to the top 10 on American Idol!

You need to get yourself out there by starting small. Start off by doing small public gigs and collaborations whenever possible. You never know who may be in the audience.

First of all you need to be able to sing, and have a recognizable voice so that you can be marketed. You should have a good grounding in music as that is your craft. You must also sing songs that DJ's want to play and be a newsworthy character.

You can either sing really badly and become famous for singing badly, or work hard at producing yourself and eventually being found by a label.

There are many good singers out there, but not many become famous. If you are discovered by the right person you can surely become famous if you are a good singer.
