After the infection the virus onset in six weeks to 3 months to become virulent and cause damages of the T cells in the our body to fight against the Antigens. The antibody of the immunization is completely destructed by the virus and cause serious damages in our body. Only testing by ELISA we can find that we are infected.

About 1 month after the virus is transmitted. The period from which the test is done till the time the result comes is called as "Window" period.
