The term HIV Abs refers to HIV antibodies. The index of HVI abs is measured in blood, in order to know the presence of HIV in blood. When HIV antibodies in blood are detected, it means that the body has developed an immunologic response to the virus.

The Hiv Abs index value test for Hiv antibodies. When a person is tested for HIV, there is always a reaction. If the reaction is high it is "reactive." If the reaction is low, it's "non-reactive". The Index value is the point in between. If a person has a high reaction, further testing will be required.

HIV abs index value determines whether a person is suffering from AIDS or not. If HIV index value is less than 1, then the person has HIV negative but not AIDS. However, if the index value is greater than 1, then HIV tests are reported as positive and person has AIDS.

You need to call your doctor and set up a time to go in for a consult. They will be able to explain everything to you so that you can completely understand the testing and the findings. That will help you become more comfortable coping with it. They may even have pamphlets on the subject they can give you.
