You can clean a car cd player by dusting the outside and using an electronic cleaning spray. To clean the inside of it, you can buy a cd laser cleaning disk that you insert into the player. Turn it on and it cleans the lens.

I think you should get one of the air blowers that you would use on a keyboard and blow it out with that to get all the dust out. It you don't want to purchase one of those you can always blow it out with your mouth, just don't spit in there.

They sell cd's for cleaning. You just pop it in and let it do its job. First I would blow air from a can into it to loosen it up.

Use a damp cloth and clean the area. You can also use rubbing alcohol but make sure that it is applied on a cloth. You do not want any liquid to go into your c.d. player and that is why the cloth should be damp. Clean the inside and outside using the damp cloth.

There are a variety of products available. I use a cd that has a device on it that cleans the cd players lens and it only takes a few seconds.
