Bottom of the line answer is 4oz, but cats get a lot of their hydration from food if fed "wet" food. You should keep fresh water always available, they'll drink as needed. If your cat is drinking excessively see a vet soonest- this could be and indication of kidney failure.

I give my cat one eight ounce glass of water each day. He doesn't drink it all every day, but sometimes he wants more than that amount. My guess is that the amount of water depends on what they eat, as well as their level of activity. Cats are also sensitive to the cleanliness of water.

This depends greatly on the cat. Some cats drink a lot, some only drink small amounts. Just make sure your cat is drinking at least some and that it's not dehydrated.

Normally a cat should drink at least 6 litres of water every day. Drinking a lot will not affect the cat.

Wow! 6 litres? That's 3 x 2litre ice-cream containers, or almost 3/4 a bucket full! I dont know many humans that drink THAT much, let alone a little kitty cat lol  add a comment
