This is an enormous undertaking for anyone especially one who is not a jeep mechanic or not a mechanic at all. There are many parts that are to be taken off and then the quality of the seal of the gasket is paramount as it holds the compression for the engine.

Replacing one of these gaskets can be very difficult if you have no experience. If you do not know what you are doing, you could do more harm to the vehicle than good. It may be best let a professional do a job like this.

You lift the hood and keep it propped up as you reach in and unscrew the head gasket.Then need to quickly replace the gasket after cleaning the socket.
