How much room do you need for a ping pong table?

The higher skill level you have, the more room you will need. Professional (International) play requires 14m x 7m (46 feet x 23 feet), but just playing in your own home would require a lot less, perhaps around 9m x 5m (30 feet x 16 feet 6 inches). It gets quite restrictive at that level though.

A standard ping pong table is five feet wide and nine feet long. A space quadruple to the proportion of a ping pong table should be sufficient as this will allow for adequate movement by the players. A space of 20 feet wide by 36 feet long is acceptable.

To really play ping pong? You need a nice open space, with room to move around. You don't want to play it cramped up, I'd say at least a 20x10 area.

A rectangular area of at least 4 feet wide and 10 feet long. This is bigger than the actual ping pong table, but you need room to play.

I advice you to have at least 3 meters length and 2 meters width to put a ping pong table. it will help us to not disturb anything and to make our walk in the room comfortable

If you stand almost still, you barely need more than 2 extra feet on each side (the table is 9x5 ft). More will allow you to play wilder, of course.
