In 2008-2009, MIT cost $36,390 for tuition, about $11,000 for room and board, and roughly $3000 for books and fees. The good news is that MIT is quite generous with its scholarship monies. People who go to an expensive private school get financial aid, which is determined by your family's income. Also there are scholarships. Get stellar grades and investigate scholarships.
