There is alot to take into consideration on what the salary is. Schooling, field and experience. Salaries range from $60,000 starting out to $160,000 with experience. Also whether you are working independent or in a firm also makes a difference with the salary.

The salary for an attorney can vary greatly depending on his or her job description. Public interest attorneys can make as little as $40,000 a year whereas attorneys who are partners at firms can make over $750,000 annually.

The amount of money that a lawyer makes varies wildly with experience and area of practice. The highest paid attorneys make millions every year, while a starting prosecutor or legal aid attorney might make as little as thirty thousand. Most fall somewhere in the middle.

It depends on the type of law that the lawyer practices. Public or government sector legal professionals often make average salaries. Depending on location, this could be on the order of 50,000 and up.
