How many meter are in a linear meter?

It would depend upon the width of the item being measured. The term is used in Europe referring to things like fabric, if it measures 125 cm then a linear meter would measure 1 meter x 125 cm. In American terms, a yard is 36 inches, but a linear yard of 60 inch fabric would measure 36x60 inches.

A linear meter is one meter in length. The way a linear meter works is 1 meter (length) by x meter (width). To get a measurement you would times length by width. This differs from a cubic meter because that would be 1 meter (length) X 1 meter (width).
