First the new meter should be bought and taken to meter department to get the seal on it. then with our electrician we can replace the old meter by switching the electrical power supply in our place.
You would not want to feed a meter from a meter. This makes no sense and should not be done. You would essentially be paying on two meters for same power.
Check your new meter is suitable for the replacement of old meter. Then switch off the service main. then replace new meter instead of old meter as per the procedure.
