How long without payment does a child support suspended license take place?

I am unable to meet my responsibility to my child (or my children) at this time. I intend to restart my payments in the future but in the mean time I need to know for how long they are being suspended. In ohter words, can I expect to be notified when I need to resume them?

Each state has different laws. But the normal is 6 months. If your license gets taken you will have to get up to date on payments to get it back.
