The Rockets have been a basketball team for 43 years. They started off in San Diego but shortly moved to Houston where they are currently playing. The Rockets as a franchise have only won 2 championships in their 43 year history, making them one of the more unsuccessful teams in the NBA.

The Houston Rockets have been a pro team since 1971 and before that they spent 4 years in San Diego. They won 2 championships in the 90s.
