if the paint is completely sealed and is stored where it has never or will never freeze,it should be good for at least five or six years.of course, it will need to be stirred well before use.
It can vary greatly how long used paint will stay usable. If it was stored in the cold and froze then it is pretty much junk and needs to be disposed of properly. If it was kept tightly closed and in an area that it didn't freeze it can stay good for years.
Well each type of paint and each brand will keep for different periods of time. Check the container to look for a expiration date. Recycle it if it's bad.
