How long can you leave a tongue ring out?

I have had my tongue pierced for 6 years and would feel confident in leaving it out for a week. If you have had it pierced for 8 months or less i wouldnt recommend leaving it out for that long. You could take it and wear it at night or put it in for five minute intervals throughout the day.

In my experience, piercings in more sensitive areas take longer to heal especially tongue rings. They usually will close up within twenty-four hours of being removed.

I suggest that you do not take the tongue ring out at all while on your vacation. You may not get it clean good before you put the ring back in and it could cause infection, swelling, and food can get stuck in there and rot. ALL of that would cause bad breath and many problems.

You cannot leave it out for a week. The hole will close up. The most time you could leave a tongue ring out would be no longer than 4 days.

It depends on how long you have had it pierced. If it is fairly new, then a week will probably be too long.

This question can not be answered directly. Eveyones body is different and heals in a different way. Consider if you have your ears pierced. If they dont close up after leaving them out for a long period of time than perhaps your heaing process is slower. You may need to ust pop it on every night for a few seconds.

I had my tongue pierced for 3 years and left it out for 24 hours and I could not get a ring back through.

This depends on the lenght of time you have hard your piercing. If it is a new peircing, you will not want to leave it out that long as the hole may begin to heal and you will be unable to reinsert your piercing. I would not recommend leaving it out that long.

I had mine pierced for 10 years took it out for a year and just recently put it back in. It never closed up it just was a bit hard to get the tongue ring back in.

I had mine pierced for 4 years took it out for 2 years and recently put it back in. Never closed up just shrunk. then again i had my tongue gauged to a 10.. lol
