This depends on tons of different factors. If you're just starting out you should aim for a run/walk routine of about 30 minutes and gradually increase the amount of running.

A lot depends on your own goals, the time you have, and your previous training history. If you are new to running, start with just a half-mile and gradually increase the distance and time. Your goal should be to eventually go farther in the same amount of time.
